A two car accident backed up traffic for quite a while Monday morning causing headaches for residents and drivers. It happened on 15th Street between Sheridan and Memorial.
Tulsa Police say the driver of the green car was speeding southbound when he was hit by a motorist traveling westbound. The green car rolled into a nearby yard.
Residents say the accident isn't a surprise because traffic on 15th is always too fast. Homeowner Kathy Sebert, "When I heard a tremendous crash out in the street and several more rumbles as the car rolled up into the yard and I looked out the back and noticed that traffic was building up and so I called 911 cuz I knew from past experience there was an accident."
The driver of the car was taken to a local hospital. He is expected to be fine. No tickets have been issued at this time.
