Two people are behind bars following a Tulsa Police chase early Monday. That chase ended in downtown Tulsa.
Tulsa Police Corporal Bob Rohloff was on routine patrol when he spotted a car he thought might be stolen. So he checked it out on the new in-car computers. “We'd had a stolen Firebird on our item sheet a few days ago and when I saw this car go by I decided to go back and get a tag number off of it. As soon as I plugged the tag into the computer, it showed it was a stolen vehicle.â€
As Rohloff called for backup, the suspects took off. Speeds reached up to 90-miles per hour. The chase ended when the suspect spun out and hit a guardrail. Officers had to break out the windows because the people in the car wouldn't come out.
A man and woman were taken to the Tulsa County Jail.
