A husband and wife were found dead after an apparent murder suicide in Tulsa early Monday morning.

It happened at "The Village at Brookside" apartments near 41st and Quincy around midnight. When officers arrived they found 24-year-old Nicole Schlies and 30-year-old Jacob Schlies dead in the courtyard. Police say it appears Jacob Schlies shot his wife inside the apartment. When she ran out into the courtyard, he fired more shots at her, then he turned the gun on himself.

The couple has a two-year-old child, who was not there at the time. No one else was injured.
