OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ Former pro football player Reggie White may build a biblical based theme park in Oklahoma.
The former star for the Green Bay Packers and Philadelphia Eagles said on Friday that plans for the park are in the early stages, although he first thought about such a venture in 1989.
White, accompanied by Lt. Gov. Mary Fallin and Rep. Lance Cargill, R-Harrah, discussed the idea during a news conference at the state Capitol.
White said it was too soon to estimate the park's cost.
The theme park would include a revival center, he said. White said he also hopes to get former professional athletes to host sports camps there.
``We want to create an atmosphere for families,'' White said.
He said he and his wife, Sara, have been involved in ministry for many years.
``It's exciting to have these types of discussions with someone of Reggie White's caliber,'' Fallin said. ``It shows just how far we've come in recent years to make Oklahoma a desirable location for business.''
