A fire damaged part of Prue High School and authorities believe it was arson. The fire, early Tuesday morning, destroyed one room of the school - but didn't spread further because the room was built with flame retardant carpeting - walls and ceiling tiles.
The fire was in a recent addition to the building. Prue School Superintendent, Joe Hulsey, "We built these two rooms in a new addition and didn't have the funds to complete the rooms this last summer we were able to complete them, and the one that burned was one we built this summer."
The fire had died out before it was discovered - and authorities aren't sure when it started.
