TULSA, Okla. (AP) _ The most commonly stolen vehicles in the city are pickup trucks and sport utility vehicles, police said.
Of the 3,722 vehicles stolen in Tulsa in 2001, Chevrolet pickups were taken more times than any other vehicle, said police Sgt. Jeff Cealka.
Ford pickup trucks came in second.
In other regions of the nation, Cealka said, the Honda Accord and Toyota Camry are the most frequently stolen vehicles.
The Accord ranks No. 9 on the Tulsa Police Department's list of most-stolen vehicles. The Camry is not among the top 10.
Other vehicles commonly stolen in Tulsa include the Oldsmobile Cutlass, Chevrolet Blazer, GMC pickup, Dodge pickup, Buick Regal, Chevrolet Caprice and Jeep Cherokee.
