DALLAS (AP) _ Charlie Davis had 29 points and 11 rebounds, leading Tulsa to a 95-87 victory Saturday night over Southern Methodist University.
Tulsa (14-3, 5-1 Western Athletic) led 43-36 at the half.
Damon Hancock scored 27 points and Quinton Ross 26 for SMU (10-7, 5-2).
The game was tied seven times, and the lead changed 13 times.
Davis was 11-of-12 from the field and 7-of-10 from the charity line. Greg Harrington added 22 points for Tulsa on 6-of-11 shooting, including 3-of-4 on 3-pointers. Jason Parker, who finished with 16 points, was 3-of-5 on 3-pointers.
Parker and Antonio Reed had 7 assists each for the Golden Hurricane. Hancock had half of SMU's 12 assists.
Both teams shot well. Tulsa hit 59 percent of its field goals, and SMU connected on 51 percent of its field goals.
