Oklahoma's brief brush of winter weather will end as skies clear Saturday.

The National Weather Service predicts highs in the 40s on Saturday and says temperatures will even reach the 60s in parts of the state by Wednesday.

On Friday, a mixture of rain, freezing rain, sleet and snow fell in northern parts of the state, while the southeast saw mostly rain. Daytime highs ranged from 32 degrees in Clinton and Oklahoma City to 43 degrees in Guymon. The high in Tulsa reached 38 degrees.

After highs in the 40s on Saturday, temperatures are forecast to fall into the 20s overnight.

Skies should be mostly clear on Sunday, with temperatures warming into the 40s and 50s.

The extended outlook calls for partly cloudy skies Monday and Tuesday, with above-normal highs in the 50s and 60s forecast.

On Wednesday, clouds should increase, with all sections but the Oklahoma Panhandle seeing a chance of rain. Highs should climb into the 50s and 60s, while lows fall into 20s and 30s through the period.
