One of the Oklahoma turnpikes will be getting a facelift of sorts soon. The Oklahoma Turnpike Authority has voted to remove the large canopies at either end of the Turner Turnpike.
The canopies once covered the tollbooths and currently have the PikePass equipment attached to it. In addition, the pavement at both ends of the turnpike will also be repaired for a smoother drive.
The total cost of the project is a little more than $75,000.
