The search for a suspected killer that now includes a plea from the man's own son to turn himself in. Police have been looking for Rodney Talbert since Monday. He's suspected of killing Tulsa businessman Bill Webb.
Tulsa Police also believe Talbert abducted his ex-girlfriend, Martha Scott. Scott managed to escape to safety in Adair County. Friends like Rita Worth say Bill Webb was trying to protect Scott from Talbert who had a history of violence. "We've seen bruises, bites, just some really bad things happen to her, so. I mean I thought that it was just a power play on Martha; that he jealous and possessive or whatever.â€
The News on Six has received a tape from Talbert's wife and 13-year-old son pleading for Talbert to turn himself in. The family contacted FOX 23 News to relay their message.
Talbert's wife, Susan Talbert, "I want him to turn himself in without getting hurt. If you're watching Rod, Max can't handle anymore, nothing happening to you." Max Talbert, "I love you Daddy and no matter what happens I'll be with him. Don't get hurt please. I couldn't live without you."
Authorities believe Talbert is in the Adair or Cherokee County area. His car was found near Tahlequah earlier this week, but he hasn't been seen since.
