The Olympic Torch passes thru the Sooner State Friday. The torch arrived in Kansas City, Missouri Wednesday. It's on its way to Salt Lake City Utah for the 2002 Winter Olympics.

Several local residents have been selected to be torchbearers as it makes its way through Oklahoma. Tulsa resident, Missy Mitchell says she is honored to be part of the run. "It's a dream come true to get to carry the torch, especially right now with everything out country is going through. I think it means even more."

After leaving Oklahoma, the torch is headed to Amarillo, Texas.
