(Oklahoma City-AP) -- Traffic delays may start the clock ticking for Cotton Bowl fans even before the game starts on New Year's Day.
The Oklahoma Department of Transportation warns Oklahoma fans of delays up to three hours on Interstate 35 south of Ardmore.
The Sooners travel to Dallas to play Arkansas in the Cotton Bowl.
Resurfacing has closed one northbound and one southbound lane along an eight-mile stretch.
Authorities recommend using US 77 between Ardmore and Marietta, or another alternate route.
