People in Oologah who need an ambulance will now only have to wait minutes instead of hours. The Oologah-Talala Emergency Medical service is now up and running.

They have two ambulances and around the clock staff. They're currently operating out of the Northwest Rogers County Fire District, but, eventually, hope to have their own building. In the past, people had to wait up to 45 minutes for an ambulance or else drive themselves to the hospital. Now, they have response times that compare with the big city. David Knight, Director of Operations: "Most of the calls here are answered, the trucks are on the scene within the seven minutes and 59 seconds that is required for priority one calls in Tulsa."

Rogers County residents voted to create the ambulance service two years ago
