WASHINGTON (AP) _ A Wisconsin company is voluntarily recalling thousands of its shower doors because the door hinges can fail, causing the doors to fall, the Consumer Product Safety Commission said.

Kohler Co. of Kohler, Wis., has received 11 reports of shower doors falling because of the faulty hinges, including one incident in which a consumer was cut and scratched from sharp edges on the door's frame.

The recalled doors include the Kohler Helios and Sterling Freestyle models made from January 1997 through September 2001. They were sold in chrome, brass and white frame finishes and in a variety of sizes.

Consumers can call Kohler at (866) 782-6329 for a replacement door.
