LAWTON, Okla. (AP) _ Oklahoma State quarterback Aso Pogi was in fair condition Tuesday, one day after being injured in a highway collision.

Pogi underwent surgery Monday to repair a deep cut on his left ring finger.

``Everything went just great,'' said Andrea Quisenberry, spokeswoman at Comanche County Memorial Hospital. ``We expect a full recovery.''

Pogi was under observation in the intensive care unit and was to be moved later to the orthopedic unit. He suffered multiple cuts, scrapes, bruises and a concussion but no broken bones.

Pogi, a Lawton resident, was injured when he lost control of his vehicle. The car jumped a median into oncoming traffic and collided with a tractor-trailer truck on U.S. 62 in Lawton about 2 p.m., police Capt. John DeBoard said.

Pogi was pinned in the two-door car for a short time, DeBoard said.

``It's unfortunate,'' coach Les Miles said. ``I was told he was reaching down to grab a cell phone, but at least it's not life-threatening at all. That's the good news.''

Police said most of the injuries were to his left arm. The driver of the truck, which was carrying diesel fuel, was not injured.
