A Coweta man with a long history of drunken driving has been sentenced to 40-years in prison.
Hugh Bickel was sentenced for convictions of running a roadblock and driving under the influence. Those convictions are the latest in a 22-year string of problems.
Bickel's most serious conviction was for manslaughter in 1993. He was involved in a collision that caused the death of a 19-year-old driver. Bickel only served a year in prison for that offense.
He was convicted 3-times since for DUI. None of those convictions got him stiffer sentences.
