TULSA, Okla. (AP) _ The University of Tulsa is unveiling a spacious new tennis center that could give the school a boost in the competition for new recruits.

The Michael D. Case Tennis Center was named for a developer and philanthropist who was the driving force behind the project.

The facility includes a 54,000-square-foot tennis pavilion with spectator seating, conditioning and training facilities, lounges, locker rooms, lighted outdoor courts, indoor courts and electronic scoreboards.

Tennis star John McEnroe is expected at a 1 p.m. dedication ceremony Friday.

Athletic Director Judy MacLeod said the new facility should help with recruiting and will take TU's tennis program to a higher level.

``This tennis center is of the caliber that most coaches can only dream,'' said Vince Westbrook, director of the school's tennis program and men's coach.
