Tulsa standoff ends with arrest of speeding suspect
A standoff in a Tulsa neighborhood ends peacefully. The standoff took place in the 3200 block of East Archer. <br><br>It took officers about two and a half hours to talk the suspect out of the home.

A standoff in a Tulsa neighborhood ends peacefully. The standoff took place in the 3200 block of East Archer.
It took officers about two and a half hours to talk the suspect out of the home. This all started when an officer tried to stop the suspect, for speeding. Tulsa Police Corporal Shawn King, "He estimated the vehicle speed at about 75-80 miles per hour through the residential area when he tried to stop the vehicle, the driver fled and ultimately he crashed in the 2700 block of East King after leading the officer on a chase for a while."
The suspect ran to a nearby home of one of his friends and barricaded himself inside. Two men, a woman and three kids got out safely. When police finally talked to the suspect, he gave up.
He faces a number of charges, including DUI, eluding and more.
