WASHINGTON (AP) _ A Texas company is recalling 30,000 packages of frozen cinnamon biscuits because they do not list whey on the label, meaning people with dairy allergies risk a serious, even life-threatening, reaction if they eat the buns.
Recalled are all packages of frozen cinnamon biscuits with icing sold in grocery stores under the brand names ``Bob Evans'' or ``Owens.''
The biscuits come in blue-speckled tins with a brown and blue lid, and were sold in Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas and West Virginia.
Consumers with dairy allergies should not eat the biscuits but return them to the store of purchase for a refund.
No illnesses have been reported, said manufacturer C.H. Guenther & Son Inc.
The recalled cinnamon biscuits are not served in Bob Evans or Owens restaurants, the company said.
Consumers with questions may contact C.H. Guenther at 1-800-939-2338.
