Folks in Bartlesville are marching to the beat of a different drum. Bartlesville High School's steel drum band performed this week for the local Rotary Club.
The band is an ensemble of 13 percussion students from the Mid-high and High school. The group plays mostly traditional island music. Steve Craft/band director, "It's music that you can't help but be happy listening too. Enjoyable and unique sound. Everybody seems to enjoy it from little kids to senior citizens.“
The students participate in the steel drum band on a volunteer basis. This steel drum band started nearly three years ago.
