Folks in Bartlesville are marching to the beat of a different drum. Bartlesville High School's steel drum band performed this week for the local Rotary Club.

The band is an ensemble of 13 percussion students from the Mid-high and High school. The group plays mostly traditional island music. Steve Craft/band director, "It's music that you can't help but be happy listening too. Enjoyable and unique sound. Everybody seems to enjoy it from little kids to senior citizens.â€œ

The students participate in the steel drum band on a volunteer basis. This steel drum band started nearly three years ago.
