New jobs are coming to Oklahoma thanks in part to the state's Quality Jobs program.
Dal-Tile recently announced it plans to locate a new floor tile manufacturing plant in Muskogee. That'll create some 300-new jobs. Company leaders say Dal-Tile chose Muskogee because of its positive business environment and overall quality of life. Dal-Tile is the largest manufacturer and distributor of ceramic tile in the United States.
And 500 new jobs are coming to McAlester. Simonton Windows is planning to open a $10-million manufacturing facility there. The company credits quality workforce and community for the decision.
The Oklahoma Quality Jobs program provides incentives for businesses that locate or expand in Oklahoma. The program has generated nearly $4.5-billion in new payroll for the state since it began in 1993.
