It's been over twenty years since the first cases of AIDS were diagnosed in America. Since then, it's been a long battle for many, socially, economically and physically.

The "Faces of AIDS" exhibit goes beyond the surface statistics to explore the personal experiences of those living with HIV. The photo exhibit contains personal interviews with HIV positive people living in eleven midwestern states, including Oklahoma, Kansas and Missouri.

Cydne Perhats/Project Coordinator: "The purpose is really three fold. To bring more visibility to the issues, to give voice to people living with HIV and AIDS and to bring better policies and services to people living with HIV & AIDS." The exhibit also hopes to prevent the spread of AIDS through education and advocacy.

The "Faces of AIDS" exhibit runs through the 16th at the College Hills Presbyterian at 7th and Columbia. For more information call 740-9806.
