There's tighter security tonight at Tulsa International Airport.

And it's something passengers will notice the minute they enter the parking lot.

Inspectors are posted at entrances outside short term parking. They're searching each car before it drives onto the lot - checking the trunk for anything suspicious.

The FAA ordered all airports to begin these searches this week.

Gerald Phillips, Airport Parking Employee: "Everybody's been real positive it's been a real good reaction - poeple have been very cooperative - easy to get along with - they seem to appreciate what we're doing. "

Because of the increased security, the airport closed four of its seven entrances in short term parking.
