An update on a story you heard first on the News on Six. Last week, Tulsa Police say several Webster High School 9th grade football players sexually assaulted a teammate.

Tulsa Public Schools Thursday announced that 14 students have been suspended for their alleged involvement. Tulsa Public Schools’ athletic officials met Thursday afternoon to discuss the situation. If anyone had questions before, Tulsa Public School officials hope they have cleared up any ambiguity. The district reinforced a "zero-tolerance policy" for hazing and bullying in any and every Tulsa Public School activity.

Also among the announcements Thursday, Webster's 9th grade football team will be required to forfeit all of its remaining games this season. Many are questioning why the 9th grade players were not supervised at the time of two separate assaults against the same boy.

Police arrested two 14-year-old football players; they're accused of assaulting a teammate with a broom handle, then beating him with a weight belt and a traffic cone. Five of the students suspended can't return to school until the spring of next year.
