It's been a long 12-months for one Mannford teen, but thanks to some high-tech help, life is getting easier.

On September 11th of last year, 17-year-old Jake Caudill was involved in a car accident. He was burned over 65% of his body and had severe nerve damage in his right hand. He spent the next four months in the Hillcrest Burn Center.

Jake's back at school this fall, and thanks to a new computer, he'll be able to take his own notes and write his own papers. Thatâ€™s because the Oklahoma Caring Foundation gave him a computer system with voice recognition. Jake Caudill, "I can't type with my right hand anymore so I can just talk to it now and it'll type it for me."

Jake's mom says the computer will make it easier for her son to be more independent.
