(Tulsa-AP) -- Game-day is almost here for the Tulsa football team. The Golden Hurricane opens the season Thursday at home against Indiana State.

The game has been dubbed ``Hurricane Kickoff Bash'' and will feature pre-game festivities and post-game fireworks to celebrate the Labor Day Holiday.

Second-year coach Keith Burns looks for his team to improve on last season's 5-and-7 mark. The opening game against the Sycamores, who went 1-and-10 last year, should provide the Hurricane an opportunity to start the season on a good note.

This will be the sixth meeting between T-U and Indiana State. Tulsa has won all five previous meetings. Kickoff is set for 7:05 at Skelly Stadium.
