A Broken Arrow teenager is helping Broken Arrow firefighters get some much needed, life-saving equipment. Ryan Jones and his dad, Ricky, heard a story that touched their hearts.

When Broken Arrow firefighters responded to a drowning call at a dam at Verdigris, they didn't have a rescue boat and had to borrow one from Coweta Fire. The victim didn't make it. After hearing that, Ryan and his dad decided to donate their boat to the firefighters.

Other people in the community jumped in and donated lifejackets and other equipment, to make sure firefighters are fully equipped for any emergency.
