A study released Wednesday quantifies the impact of exports from Oklahoma's 2nd district. The study states that there are 226 exporting companies in the district with exports totaling $420-million and directly supporting more than 3,000 jobs.
2nd District Congressman Brad Carson talked about the importance of international trade with a group of local business and farm leaders Wednesday. Carson emphasized the importance of trade on the Tulsa and Muskogee ports as well as the district overall. "We're active in this. I am trying to rally fellow democrats to the cause of trade because it is a power engine for growth in northeast Oklahoma and the country."
The report was released by the Oklahoma Go-Trade organization headed up by The State Chamber on behalf of The Business Roundtable.
