A follow-up to a story KOTV first brought you last week. A drug charge against a man who was saved by a Krebs Police officer has been dropped.

Johney Ford had just gotten pulled over by Officer David Quinton when Ford's car started rolling backward. Officer Quinton pushed Ford to safety but seriously injured his back in the process. Ford faced drug and alcohol charges. But upon further review, the drugs appeared to be some kind of medication, not something the DA's office felt it could prosecute.

However, Ford could still get 10 years in prison for felony DUI.
