(Norman-AP) -- The Oklahoma football teams that won 47-straight games from 1953 to 1957 will be recognized next month at halftime of the OU-Tulsa game.

Several events will take place the weekend of September 14th and 15th, culminating with the halftime ceremony.

The reunion follows similar celebrations of national championship teams over the past two years.

During the 1999 season, the 1974 and 75 O-U championship teams were honored. Last season, the 1985 and 1950 championship teams were recognized.
