MUSKOGEE, Okla. (AP) _ Authorities have arrested three people in California in connection with the death of a Muskogee man who was shot in the head and dumped in a creek.
The body of Alonso Bush, 32, was found near downtown Muskogee on Thursday.
Muskogee police questioned Frederick Lawrence Derrick, 27, Catina Reane Thomas, 28, and Donyeil McIntosh, 22, in Oakland, Calif., during the weekend. The three were driving Bush's 1985 Buick, authorities said.
``They have the car; they have located what they believe to be the murder weapon in the car; and they found blood in the car,'' Muskogee Police Detective Bobby Lee said.
The Muskogee County District Attorney's Office will consider filing first-degree murder charges against the three after receiving the police report. If charges are filed, authorities will try to extradite the three from California.
The weapon found in the car was the same type of handgun used to kill Bush, Lee said.
Derrick and McIntosh have criminal records in Muskogee County, investigators said. All three suspects are from Muskogee.
Police found Bush's car after getting the license number through an insurance agent.
