(Detroit-AP) -- General Motors is getting ready to introduce a smaller, more affordable Hummer next year.
In the meantime, the automaker is launching a new print campaign aimed at changing Hummer's image.
People now look on the Humnmer as a rough military machine, but G-M says it wants them to see it as the sport utility vehicle of the elite.
The advertising campaign will focus on the original Hummer H-One, which starts at 77-thousand dollars.
G- bought the rights to the Hummer brand from A-M General in 1999 and quickly unveiled plans to produce the Hummer H-Two.
The baby brother to the original Hummer goes on sale in 2002.
G-M also is considering an even smaller H-Three, about the size of a Chevrolet TrailBlazer or Ford Explorer.
