(Miami-AP) -- The Oklahoma Sooners and Florida State were very good for the economy of south Florida.

College football's national championship game between O-U and F-S-U in January brought an estimated 185 (m) million dollars into the area's economy.

A study by Sports Management Research Institute includes the overall financial local businesses and media advertising.

The study says 76-thousand, 835 fans attended the game won by the Sooners 13-to-2.
