TULSA, Okla. (AP) _ Brian Shackelford's homer in the second inning helped the Wichita Wranglers beat the Tulsa Drillers 3-1 Sunday night in a Texas League game.
Shackelford's shot over the left center-field wall was his 14th of the year.
Wichita's other runs came in the first, on a sacrifice fly from Ken Harvey and an RBI-single from Joe Dillon.
Dave Meliah homered in the ninth for Tulsa's only run.
Corey Thurman (9-4) pitched eight innings of three-hit ball for the win. Nate Field pitched the ninth for his 11th save of the season.
Jose Martinez (2-6) allowed all of Wichita's runs in six innings of work.
