Sheriff’s deputies in Tulsa County have recovered several dozen gas grills stolen in Missouri.
The Tulsa County Sheriff's office says a truck containing 162 gas grills was stopped Tuesday evening. The sheriff’s office had received a tip from a private investigator that an employee of Sunbeam Outdoor Products Company of Neosho, Missouri stole the grills.
Tulsa County Sheriff Stanley Glanz says "A person who had purchased a couple of them at a retirement home actually called the factory and asked to be delivered some more or get some more at that price because he didn't find anything wrong with them, so through those phone calls they started to suspect something was going on."
Authorities arrested 43-year-old David L. Randolph. Randolph was booked into the Tulsa Jail for knowingly receiving stolen property.
The grills were valued at $500 each. They were being sold illegally in Tulsa for $125 each.
