St. Francis Hospital invoked a blessing Tuesday on their new maternity program.

"We invoke your blessing on this newly renovated maternity center." The hospital added six labor and delivery rooms, eight post-partem rooms and another Pavilion Room. Contractors also expanded each of the other rooms and nurseries. Renovations have been going on along-side regular business since 1999. BIll Weeks, CEO St Francis Health System, "We promised when this project started that it would be a long labor, but would produce a beautiful baby. I don't think anyone would disagree with either point... particularly the long labor."

St. Francis Hospital has a custom of blessing new facilities before opening them to the public.
