DALLAS drivers express outrage with billboard depicting McVeigh, Satan

DALLAS (AP) _ A brightly colored billboard showing Satan administering a lethal injection to Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh has prompted outrage from passing motorists, many of whom say the radio station advertisement is obscene and offensive.

The sign, which juts out along one of Dallas' busiest highways, reads ``Highway to Hell,'' above a logo for KEGL-FM.

The sign promotes ``The Eagle,'' the same station that instigated an international ruckus earlier this week with DJs' false report that pop stars Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake had been in a car accident.

Dallas resident Dennis Baum said he was leaving a shop near Interstate 635 when he saw the sign.

``My mouth just fell open,'' Baum told The Dallas Morning News in Saturday's editions. ``I was right below that yellow-and-red-obscenity. I got in my car and was just fuming.''

Neither officials at KEGL nor station owner, San Antonio-based Clear Channel Communications, could immediately be reached for comment Saturday.

``When I first saw it I thought it was a bit cruel, and now I'm indecisive,'' Dallas resident Nick Watkins said Saturday.

McVeigh was executed Monday in the federal death chamber in Terre Haute, Ind.
