Terry Simonson, a Tulsa attorney, wants to be mayor. Tuesday, several state lawmakers showed their support for him. State Senator Charles Ford, State Senator James Williamson, and State Representative Fred Perry, all Tulsa Republicans, endorsed Simonson as their choice for Mayor. They praised his experience and love for the city.
Mayor Susan Savage has said she'll not run for re-election next year. Candidates must register with the county election board by January.
The people of Tulsa will vote for mayor in the 2002 general election.
