(Oklahoma City) -- Oklahoma City residents could pay a high price for the city's first white Christmas since 1975.

The city could be looking at a one (m) million dollar bill for overtime, road salt and equipment used to clear roadways during the storm

Darrell Chambless, the city's senior civil engineer, says crews worked around the clock on Monday, Tuesday and into Wednesday.

They used salt spreaders, trucks and graders, spreading more than one thousand two-hundred-42 tons of salt, which cost more than 37 thousand dollars.

The price tag would be less than half the 2-point-8 (m) million dollar the city paid to clean up downed trees and power lines after January's ice storm.
