(Claremore-AP) -- A 60-year-old Claremore man was killed when he lost control of his van and flipped four times.
Oklahoma Highway Patrol says Curtis Fugate was eastbound on a Rogers County road when he lost control of his van, went off the road and flipped four times Saturday night.
Fugate was thrown twelve feet from his vehicle. He was not wearing his seat belt.
OHP officials say 693 people have been killed on Oklahoma roads this year. Twenty-three have been killed so far this month.
That's up from last year's figures. In 2001, 669 people died on Oklahoma roads.
