(Oklahoma City-AP) -- Much of the state can expect to see snow by Monday.

The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm watch as a powerful mass is expected to moves eastward through the state.

Northern Oklahoma can expect light snow early Monday. Snow will continue through Tuesday. That part of the state may get up to six inches of snow.

Freezing rain and snow is expected for the central and eastern Oklahoma. The National Weather Service says rain will change to snow late Sunday or early Monday morning. Freezing rain may be mixed with snow by afternoon and continue through Tuesday. Central Oklahoma could see as much as eight inches of snow.

Southern and eastern Oklahoma could see up to four inches of snow.
