(Oklahoma City-AP) -- Three people have filed as candidates for the state Senate seat formerly held by Governor-elect Brad Henry.

Tecumseh Mayor Greg Wilson and Charlie Laster of Shawnee filed as Democrats and Republican state Representative Kris Steele of Shawnee have filed for the District 17 post.

The three day filing period began Monday and ends at 5 today.

Henry resigned from the Senate on December 5th, one month after being elected governor.

Governor Keating has scheduled a special primary election for January 14th and a general election on February 11th.
