(Oklahoma City-AP) -- The price of gasoline is rising in Oklahoma.
AAA Oklahoma says the average price for a gallon of self-serve regular in the state is just more than a $1.25 per gallon, up almost two cents per gallon.
AAA spokesman Chuck Mai says most stations in Oklahoma City and Tulsa are reporting prices between a $1.25 and a $1.29 per gallon.
Mai says political unrest in Venezuela is driving up the price of gas in the state and across the US.
Venezuela is the world's fifth largest oil producer, but oil exports are all but shut down because of a two week long strike against the regime of President Hugo Chavez.
