Tulsa Public schools are getting more help combating their financial crisis, thanks to a local Insurance agency.
Monday morning at Sequoyah Elementary School, Chandler-Frates and Reitz presented the Foundation for Tulsa Schools a check for $100,000. The money will go towards getting some much needed money into the state's largest school district.
CFR chairperson, Jack Allen, "We've had a very strong commitment to public education for a number of years. It is so important to me. It's so significant if you look at all the other human services that are used, much are used by people who are not given the opportunity to get a good education.â€
Monday’s check presentation helped kick off a community fund raising drive to meet Tulsa philanthropist Henry Zarrow's challenge.
Zarrow agreed to match any contributions to Tulsa Public Schools, up to one million dollars.
