An Oklahoma town is cracking down on people who refuse to pay their fines. This time, the penalty is lockup.
The city court in Henryetta is ready to order police to start rounding up people who have ignored repeated requests to pay fines. The change of strategy was prompted because the new jail has plenty of space.
The fines cover municipal misdemeanor offenses, everything from speeding to assault and alcohol and drug violations.
