NORMAN, Okla. (AP) _ Three University of Oklahoma students were ticketed after Norman police stopped them and found 2,100 cans of beer in their truck.
The three said they were taking the beer to the Phi Gamma Delta fraternity house about two hours before Saturday's football game between Oklahoma and Texas Tech.
Police stopped the pickup after they saw a passenger riding on its running board and hanging onto the truck's roof. The three students, all younger than 21, were ticketed for being minors in possession of alcohol.
Officers have poured the 70 cases beer, valued at $836, down a sink.
