Oklahoma law enforcement wants to make sure holiday travelers reach their destinations safely next week.
Officials predict a record number of travelers for the Thanksgiving holiday. That's why statewide, police officers, troopers and deputies are participating in a national traffic enforcement campaign called "Operation ABC Mobilization."
The goal is to make Oklahoma roadways safer by reducing collision-causing traffic violations and increasing the use of seatbelts. Broken Arrow Police Sgt Ed Ferguson, "The only proven way to get people to use seatbelts, ticket and fine, to tell you today, we are going to actively work enforcement this next week and we will be writing tickets."
Operation ABC Mobilization starts Monday.
