Oklahoma gets a 'C+' in its effort to curbing drunk driving

Mothers Against Drunk Driving are unveiling their 2002 report card on both state and national efforts to curb drunk driving.
Since MADD's inception two decades ago, alcohol related deaths were cut by a third. But, last year they increased. Overall the state of Oklahoma got a C-plus compared to the national grade of C. When it comes to underage drinking and driving, Oklahoma received a B; the national grade was a C-plus.
Oklahoma's total number of traffic deaths totaled 676. 266 of those were alcohol related.
