(Oklahoma City-AP) -- Voters in last week's election set a record for turnout in a gubernatorial race.
Totals approved by the state Election Board show more than 1,035,000 Oklahomans went to the polls.
Election Board Secretary Mike Clingman says its the first time more than one million voters cast ballots in a race for governor.
More than half of the state's registered voters went to the polls.
Clingman says he's unsure if controversial ballot questions such as the ban on cockfighting had an effect on the governor's race.
He says 30,000 people who voted for a governor didn't cast a vote on State Question 687 to outlaw cockfighting.
