A temporary restraining order has been filed to stop the enforcement of State Question 687, which makes cockfighting illegal.

The injunction was filed Friday by game breeders in Idabel. It states that the new law would "result in immediate and irreparable injury, loss and damage, incarceration and restraint of freedom, deprivation of property without just compensation, loss of liberty and pursuit of plaintiffâ€™s chosen means of livelihood" to some 50,000 Oklahomans.

A McCurtain County judge is set to hear the case on November 18th.
